This is my new feedback on the Youtube video because the old one is missing.

Basically the video is about comprehensive assessment. It shows that alternative methods in testing and teaching are more suitable for 21st century learner. Traditional and alternative method are different. Traditional method use exam-oriented to test the students, while alternative method such as project based learning test on what students know and what they able to do by doing it practically. After all traditional method in testing is quite stressful because often students need to memorize in order to answer the examination's paper. It maybe good for students that have the ability to memorize easily, but it is not fair for other students. However, I think that traditional method and alternative method can compliment each other to build students' integrated skills. smile

Three things that I like about the article are:

1. The need to shift from traditional assessment to alternative assessment. We are now in the 21st century and the ways of learning now and then is different. This article shows why we should change the ways of teaching, for instance 'streaming' that is used in school will diverse students population.

2. The differences between traditional and alternative assessment. Traditional assessment required students to memorize the knowledge and the process of learning is separated from the final outcomes that represent students' learning. Meanwhile, alternative method construct students' ability and the process of learning is ongoing.

3. The implication, use of rubrics as a guidelines for scoring score. Rubrics helps teacher to give score and it can be helpful for students as they can use it as guide to achieve a particular score.
